John Finn, CEO
John Finn holds a Degree in Accounting from LeMoyne
College in Syracuse,
NY, where he graduated in 1992. From
1992-1995 Mr. Finn worked for the then "Big Six" accounting firm KPMG
Peat Marwick as an auditor and tax return specialist. During this tenure, Mr.
Finn was certified as a public accountant.
In June of 1995, John relocated to New York City
to pursue accounting in a more creative environment. He soon found himself
working with film industry clients and committed himself to learning the film
business from the ground up - from starting as an Assistant Production
Accountant on various films to eventually Keying feature films.
In 1998 Mr. Finn founded JFA, Inc as an accounting firm designed to offer
full-time specialized Film Production Accounting. JFA is now comprised of
both Production and Post Production service divisions. In 2004, he
co-directed and produced4
Cylinder 400, a documentary about a rural family's annual car race in
their backyard. He also co-wrote The

Pete Hayes
Pete joined JFA in June of 2002. Mr. Hayes graduated from Skidmore
College in May 1991 and has been
living in New York for the past
several years. Presently, Mr. Hayes performs bookkeeping services for various
JFA clients, such as Nantucket Film Festival and Labyrinth Theatre. In
addition, Mr. Hayes assists Mr. Finn for the various post and production jobs
that are worked on at the JFA offices.
When Pete is not performing accounting duties, he is often found on
various stages across the country playing drums for the indie band The Figgs.
Pete has played drums for The Figgs for the past 15 years. If you’d like to

Tara Andrus
Tara is one of the latest JFA additions and has
been a welcome relief to the onslaught of paperwork. A native of upstate NY
and a graduate of New Paltz
State University,
majoring in Communication & Media, Tara started working in the film and
television entertainment business soon after graduation.
Tara has worked on previous productions on
positions varying from office PA, Production Secretary, APOC, POC, and
Production Manager. Now Tara has taken the plunge into
production accounting and with her various past experiences on
productions--it has been a very natural progression.
Tara enjoys ballroom dancing, flag football, any
burt bacharach albums and was a regional high school tidly wink champion
(1995).

Steve Boyle
After a career in Public Accounting spanning over 20 years, Steve joined
the staff of JFA in August of 2005. Steve graduated from Colorado
State University
in 1990, with a degree in History and minors in Theatre and Bowling. Steve´s
interest in film and theatre began in High School where he studied under
Father James Cashman at Archbishop Stepinac
High School, in White
Plains, NY. Father Cashman
was also responsible for starting the acting careers of Alan Alda, Jon Voight
and Michael Pare.
Steve has appeared in very small roles in the films the Fisher King (1991)
and Michael Collins (1996), and it highly recommended that you utilize your
video player´s pause button to view him. Steve hopes his film resume will
include acting credits and well as Production Accountant credits for many
years to come.
Steve and his wife Lauren have two small children, Lachlan
and Blake. The family all share an uncanny ability to recognize celebrities
by the backs of their heads.

Aidan Shah
Aidan was born and raised in New York City.
He attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with an honors degree
in Medieval Studies. Aidan worked in the education department at the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame where he worked closely with MTV to promote and produce a
series of contemporary music concerts in Cleveland.
Upon completion of his degree Aidan moved to New Mexico
and worked in Carson National
Park, until he moved back to his birthplace in
2005.
Aidan currently serves a number of accounting functions at JFA, a virtual
utility man around the office. His co-workers would describe him as honest
and hardworking with a rapier’s wit. Aidan is also the proud parent of a
manatee named Sunrise who lives
somewhere in Southern Florida.

Calvin Bennett
Calvin S. Bennett from Kansas City,
moved to Brooklyn in Feb. 2003. Calvin joined JFA in
June of 2005.; He handles the administrative matters in the office such as
receiving / shipping files; ordering supplies; filing the appropriate
documents for each production and basically responsible for running a tight ship
at JFA.
Calvin is a Upright bassist, 6-string electric bassist, guitarist and
vocalist with over 100 songs written to date, including classical and jazz
compositions. Calvin Graduated from Kansas
University in 1995 as a Double
Bass Major.

Rebecca Garland
Rebecca Garland, joined JFA in October of 2005. She graduated from Connecticut
College in 2004 with a bachelor’s
degree in both Film Studies and Economics. Although Becky loves New
York, her spirit still resides in Rome
where she spent 6 months in 2003. Between scuba diving, and Italian classes
Becky somehow managed to find time to start her film career as an intern with
several production companies such as Anarchists’ Convention and Furthur
Films.
Since joining JFA she has developed a new found fascination for both
accounting and vodka Gimlets. Becky has worked as an assistant on the films
“The Babysitters,” “Then She Found Me” and “The Ministers.” Becky enjoys
filtering through the random headshots mailed to our office in search of
special skills more fascinating than her own.

Jessice Thorne
A recent graduate from SUNY's finest institution Geneseo, Jess decided to
try her luck in a town that has more people than cows for once in her life.
With a degree in Communication and a Minor in Business, film accounting
sounded like just what she was looking for. With good fortune on her side she
landed a job with us here at JFA. Unlike most the members of our team, this
is Jess's first crack at the real world, and boy is she making an impressive
show of it, assisting on a number of different post and in production
projects.

Morgan Howard
Morgan Howard was born and raised in the central part of Michigan,
slightly east of the capitol, Lansing.
After a four year stint in the local public school system he attended Michigan
State University
studying English and Film Specialization. After college, Morgan moved to a
little known town in the North Eastern part of Connecticut
where he learned to play the guitar, glaze windows and love country music.
After a year in the backwoods Morgan moved to New
York City and immediately began working as an on-set
Production Assistant for feature films and television programs. While working
on set Morgan discovered he had a knack for the paperwork side of production
and it was by this avenue he was led to JFA; the firm being on the lookout
for a new employee with competence, punctuality, and industry experience.
Having met two of these three requirements Morgan was hired in March of 2007
making him the newest member of the JFA team.
Currently Morgan is learning the ins and outs of the fast paced world that
is Production Accounting and is being trained from the ground up.

Nicole Bukowski
As a native of Staten Island, Nicole Bukowski is a
recent addition to the staff at JFA. After high school, she escaped the city
life to upstate NY, where she attended Rochester Institute of Technology
where she received a Bachelors Degree in Mass Media Communications with an
Associates Degree in Film/Video. Upon her return to the big city, she worked
in a fertility clinic and found that not challenging enough and wanted more.
In the fall of 2004 she enrolled in Metropolitan College of New York’s MBA
in Media Management Program where she obtained her graduate degree. While in
graduate school, Ms. Bukowski worked as an intern for Tribeca and Kulture
Machine as well as being a PA on numerous film projects. She has recently
worked on films such as Watching The Detectives, The Visitor, and Brief
Interviews with Hideous Men.
